Vietnam Launches National Blockchain for Data Infrastructure

Vietnam has unveiled NDAChain, a state-backed blockchain designed to bolster its national digital infrastructure. Operated by the Ministry of Public Security and developed by the National Data Association, the platform integrates with government and enterprise systems, serving as a verification layer.

The Proof-of-Authority-based system, supported by 49 validator nodes from entities like SunGroup and Masan, processes up to 3,600 transactions per second. Enhanced with zero-knowledge proofs, it supports decentralized ID and traceability tools. By 2026, NDAChain aims to expand into regional and educational systems while enabling LAYER 2 app development.

"Vietnam has chosen a hybrid data architecture that blends centralized and decentralized components," said Nguyen Huy of the National Data Association. The chain acts as a protective layer for the nation’s live data, critical to its digital society and economy.
